Death of Mr. tlaston Marion. Mr. Gaston Marion, brother o; Mrs. it. li. AUtson of this place, died suddenly at Welch, Va., last Saturday morning, lie had been employed in the telegraph department of the Norfolk and Western railroad. He was the second son of the Rev. J. L\ Marion, of liichburg, and was about 20 years of age. lie was h young man of exalted char acter and exemplary habits. The burial was in Richburg Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Allison went over to attend the funeral. Barr-Neal. Mr. Hampton Barr, son of Mr. Samuel Barr, of the Dwight section, and Miss Nannie Neal, daughter of Mr. Thomas Neal, of the Unity section, were married last Sunday evening at the East Lancaster Circuit parsonage, by the pastor, the Rev. l\ B. Messere Daise Steele, Baxter Steele and Bob Lee Stogner, three young men of this county, left yesterday for Live Oak, Fla , where they may decide to locate. Mr. Ii. H. Ferguson, of Wylie's Mill, Chester county, spent last Friday here with Mr. A. B. Ferguson. During his boyhood days Mr. Ferguson was a student of the old Franklin Academy of Lancaster. Mf. and Mrs. R. W. Powers, | of Chattanooga, Tenn., are spending a while with relatives in the Heath Springs section. Mr. Powers has been engaged in the furniture business in Tennessee for some time. Miss SRlie Us-ery, of Kershaw, who visited Mrs O. K. Williams the past week, left Saturday morning lor Clover, where she will take charge of a school near Bethel church. She will hoard at Mr. R.
