report on cotton up to August
25th, came out Monday and
showed 773 as against 82.9 tlie '
previous month. The market
(advanced about. 22 points soon
, alter the report was posted, and
when the census report on the
amount ginned up t<> September
1st, was published, the market
advanced a lew punts further,
carrying the opiion to 0.20, hut
t he close was 0. 1 7.
Contrary to what was gener
ally expected, the census report
showed that tlu* amount ginned
up to September 1st was les>
than that ginned last year by
over 06,000 bales, the ginning
this year being -103,20ft bales
against 400,500 last year for the
same time.

runaway. The horse became
frightened ah?ut Mr. B. Cunningham's
