Steele is one of the ohl landmarks and has been a ti^e ful man in bis community. In the midst of this community is Tirss ih church. This is one of the oldest and largest churches in the county and h s more than 300 members, which is perhaps the largest membership of any church in the county. This church wis organized in 1804 In the 102 years of its existence ' it has beei served by tweive pastors, the sloi test being one year and the lmitest twenty-seven. Rev. W. t.
