The Marriage of a Popular
Young Couple in theTradesville
Section, last Wednesday.

A quiet mid benutiful yet solemn
ceremony was witnessed at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. J. B, Funderburk.
at Tradesville, S. O.,
April 4. 190(), at 5 o'clock, when
their popular and attractive
daughter, Miss Tracy Jane Funderburk,
piishted her troth to
the handsome son of Mr. L. II.
Rowel I, Mr. J. Wesley Rowell,
ol the Tabernacle section, Rev.
t\ H. Lngraliam officiating.
Amid the strains ol Mendelssohn's
Wedding March, played
by Miss Fannie Cochran ol lie hoboth.
S. the bride and groom,
with their attendants, Misses
I) zio Fnnderburk and Ellen
Howell, and Messrs C. II. Howell
and J. R. Fnnderburk, marched
in with steady tread, and as the
orsran pealed torth ill touching
tones the melody, ''Devotion,"
Rev. Ingraham pronounced the
solemn words which united these
two lives into the holy bonds ot
matrimony.
After receiving the congratulations
and good wishes of friends
and relatives the bridal party
repaired to the (lining room,
where a bounteous repast was
.>erved.
The next day this pay party
was highly entertained at a re
ception given at the home of the
groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
L. 1J. Rowell.
This happy couple carries with
them the good wishes of their
hos's of friends and acquaintan
ces tor a long, happy and prosperous
lite togeiher. May there
be no clouds to darken the beautiful
sunshine in the lives of this
popular couple.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Rowell
will be at home to their hosts of
friends after April 9, 1906.

Death of Dr. Alexander Mack.

and Mrs. ?f. H. Mack, of Fort
Mill, died at his home in Decatur,
Ua., last Saturday morning, of
meningitis, alter a few hours of
dreadful suffering.
Dr. Mack was associated wi ll
Dr. Westmoreland in the practice
ol surgery, and was not only
very successful hut exceedingly
popular.
He was educated at the Fort
Mi'l lligh School, Davidson
College, Medical Colleges of Cn
ivert-ity of Penn. and S C. Medical
College
He had spent most ot his mar
ried life in South Georgia where
he had a large and lucretive
practice, hut reeently moved to
Atlanta to engage in surgery.
He niarrie 1 May W Lucas of
Washington, N C , who with
four children survive him.

R. Banks, of Lancaster. He died
in the prime ol life, iu the 'iHtli
year of his age. He was singularly
successful and devoted to his
profession. He was also a lecturer
in the Atlanta colleges of Medicine
and I)entistry.
