Notice is hereby Rivpn that this
office will be open from the 1st day of

1906, for the purpose of receiving the
returns of the taxpayers of Lancaster
County.
All real estate with improvements
thereon, and all personal property of
every description, must be returned
at its (rue value in money, and all
persons having such property in their ,
possession or control as manager, j
holder, or as husband, parent, guar- i
dian, trustee, executor, administrator, $
receiver, accounting ottioer, agent, at- >
torney or iactor, on the 1st day of
January, 1906, are required to list the
same for taxation within the time required
by law, or incur the penalty
of 50 per cent, which attaches in cape
of failure to do so.
The poll tax of One Dollar is laid
upon all male persons between the
ages of 21 and 00 years, except persons
who are exempt by law.
The Auditor or an assistant will attend
the following places in the
county on the days named below for
the convenience of the public:

New Ordinances.
AN ordinance prohibiting any person or
persons from diguing any Grave or interng
any Human Body in those parts of the
lemeteries of the Town of Lancaster designated
as "Free" in existing ordinances of
laid town, excepting person or persons
esi ling within the corporate limits of said

"Bo it ordained hy the town Council of
Lancaster in council assembled and hy the
luthority of the same: That on ntrd after

State of South Carolina, either as agent of
the purchaser or vendor, any alcoholic
liquors
"Be it ordained by the town council of
Lancaster in council aaaembled and by the
authority of the name: That from and
after the passage of this ordinance, it shall
be unlawful for any peraon or persons,
whether actiug as agent ot the purchaser
rrr vendor, to carry, transport or bring into
the town of Lancaster from any point
withiu the State of South Carolina, any
alcoholic liquors.
"Any person or persons violating the
terms of this ordinauce shall be punished
by a tine of not more than one hundred
dollars or suffer imprisonment for not
more than thirty days.
"Done and ratified in council assembled
this the 2f?th day of November one thousand
nine hundred and five.
