Minstrels Cominq.
Allen's New Orleans Minstrels
will give a performance in Lan
caster the 31st instant. The
Fort Worth, Texas. Mail Tele
gram, of Sept. 28th, says of the
performance there :
"Allen's New Orleans Mia
strels had a full house, or rather
a full tent, at their opening per
formance last evening, and
everybody in attendance was
pleased with the enter:ainment
aliorded. It was clean trom anything
objectionable whatever,
and newer by far than manv
minstrel companies seen in lie
opera house. The music ^?as
good. There was some excellent
voices in the company, and the
dancing was strictly up-to date. (
The cake walking is a strong
feature and brought forth great
applause. The two hau ls made
a good showing on the streets
today. The performance will be
repeated again this evening in
the big tent 011 Husk, between
nth and Oth streets, and the tent
will 110 doubt be crowded. It is
pa'ticularly worthy of mention
that greater courtes*. is accord
e i patrons by the ushers and at
tendan s than is usually wit
nossed in tent shows."
