Bailey Scholarships Three Clinton Mills sons and daughters have been awarded $8,000 M.S. Bailey scholarships. They are Janice Yancey, a Geneva High School graduate, and Mike Wil kins and Gary Heaton, both Clinton High School graduates. While at Geneva High School Ms. Yancey was a member of the Beta Club, Geneva High School Marching Band, Jazz Band and numerous other school activities. Janice plans to enter the University of Alabama and major in Marketing. Michael Wilkins is an outstanding base ball and basketball player and achieved numerous scholastic and extracurricular awards and recognitions at Clinton High School. He plans to enter Clemson University this fall and major in Accounting. Wilkins is the son of Bailey Plant Card Room Superintendent and Mrs. Don Wil kins. Gary Earl Heaton has chosen to use his M.S Bailey scholarship at Furman Universi ty. He plans to continue his education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, working to-' ward a degree in Aerospace Engineering. While attending Clinton High Heaton was a member of the golf team, photographer for the annual staff, a member of the Piedmont Quiz Bowl team, Winthrop College team, Na tional Honor Society and numerous other educational extracurricular programs. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Early Heaton. Early is a Plant No. 2 Spinning Maintenance Technician. He has been with Clinton Mills for 38 years.
