Each associate who is eligible for group
health coverage is automatically eligible for
the “pre-tax premium’' plan or PTP. Since
PTP was established on July 1, 1985, the
portion of your gross pay that is used to pay
your health care premium is not subject to
tax. Take-home pay in the PTP plan is higher
than it would be if your premium was with
held from your pay on an “after-tax” basis.
The PTP plan and the tax laws require an
annual option for participants in PTP. There
fore, if you do not wish to have your health
care premium paid by PTP withholding, you
sHlould notify the Personnel Department no
later than June 30.
