MODEL ROOM — The Human Resources Department decorated this room
constructed by the company’s maintenance dept, to “show off” products
made by the Bailey Plant. Most of the items featured are available as the
Young-at-Heart collection sold through Sears retail and catalog stores. The
products are made by Clinton Mills for the Bibb Company and its customers.
END PRODUCTS — A representative display was available to show employees
the endless variety of Clinton Mills finished fabrics.
DRAW-IN — Heyward Tumlin, draw-in operator, explains to John Earl Smith
how each pattern is drawn to predetermined specifications.

ANSWERING QUESTIONS — Linda Lawson answered questions about the
end products and provided peppermint candy to visitors who had completed the
tour of the manufacturing process.
INTEREST IN THE WEAVING MACHINES — Most young visitors were im
pressed with the questions of the Sulzer weaving machines. Assistant superin
tendent Harry Lanford explains the advances made in weaving technology in
recent years.
