Satterfield Completes Quarter Century of Service Gerald Satterfield proudly displays a mantel clock he chose as his twenty-five year service award from the company. He is employed in the Clinton Mills maintenance department. Gerald joined Clinton Mills March 2, 1961. Clinton Players in Textile Basketball Tournament By Sonny King A group of Clinton Mills employees sponsored a basketball team in the recent 63rd Textile Basketball Tour nament held in Greenville’s Memo rial Auditorium. They reached the finals of the Men’s "B" Division be fore losing 69-64 in the Champion ship Game against M & L Construc tion Co. In the opening game, they defe ated CRS Sirrine 72-45. Leading scorers were John Dixon with 20 points and William Mims with 16. In the quarter-finals, they defeated 3- M, 82-43. Kenyon Roberson and William Mims led the scoring with 19 and 17 respectively. They played a hard-fought game in the semi-finals before defeating Givings Youth Cen ter 58-53. Again Kenyon Roberson scored 17 points and Ricky Martin contributed 13. The team received the runner-up trophy and Kenyon Roberson and John Dixon were pick ed on the All-Tournament Team. Members of the team included Brian Shealy (Lydia Shop) and Henry Blalock (Bailey Spinning), who served as players-coaches, Kenyon Roberson (Lydia Weaving), Ricky Martin (No. 1 Spinning), William Mims (Lydia Shop), Aaron Simmons (Lydia Spinning), Rusty lusti (Lydia Weaving), and John Dixon (son of Baily Dixon, Vice President of En gineering).
