Retired Employees
Adolphus C. Meadors has already begun devoting more time to
photography since his retirement. A Tying Machine Operator, Clark had been
with the company since February 10, 1949.
Recent retirement parties afforded many already retired employees an oppor
tunity to return to their former work place to visit. Retired Lydia maintenance

Mell Huey ended a 34 year working career when she retired April 2,1979. She
is shown receiving a retirement gift from Rudolph Barker.
Rob Wilkie served as the leader for Marion Hiers retirement party on March
23. Rob and Marion, long time fellow employees, entertained the group as they
proposed a coke toast before cutting the “horseshoe” cake. Hiers fellow em
ployees presented him an automatic seed planter as a token of their association
with him since February 23, 1959.

sary list. It should have read A.E. Lawson. The Clothmaker regrets this

Lamie Brewington (left) and Darrell Bragg (right) proudly display a 28 pound
9 ounce bass Lamie caught recently while fishing below the dam on the Saluda
River. Lamie was fishing with a top water plug. Both he and Darrell are Lydia
employees.
