Page 4 Blood Drive Successful The Carolina-Georgia Blood Center made its fall visit to the plants in September and October. This year's visit netted the blood center 126 pints of the precious lifesaving solution. Sonny King, who coordinates the blood assurance program, noted this was one of the best drives Clinton has had, and the number of deferrals for minor colds and other reasons were minimal. Blood, unlike many other substances, cannot be manufactured. According to blood center officials, 100 donors are needed daily to meet ordinary surgery de mands in this area. The Carolina-Georgia Blood Center provides Clinton employees unlimited blood re- , placements. The benefit is also extended to spouses, dependents, Old Timers, single employee parents and their dependents. \ iw Carolina Blood Center nurse asks Nath questions before permitting him to don; Hi <H Odell Lambert awaits nurse to comp donor of lifesaving blood.
