"Crafted With Pride in USA," a campaign
to encourage Americans to buy American
textile products, has been launched.
Clinton Mills, along with numerous other

participated in a kick-off barbecue formally
announcing the program.
A highlight of the program was an address
by U.S. Secretary of Labor, Raymond Donnovan.
Clinton Mills executives participated
along with others in serving barbecue to the
thousands of people attending the affair at
Textile Hall in Greenville.
The "Crafted With Pride" program is a
combined effort by various groups to save
the jobs of U.S. fertile employees by en;
ccuraging Americans to buy U .S. manufactured
textile products.
Manufacturers are being encouraged to
put the "Crafted With Pride in USA" slogan

consumers are concerned about where
apparel products are made and they are concious
of names and labels.
The American Textile Manufacturers Institute,
of which Clinton Mills is a member,
is heavily involved in the promotional^!
program.
Textile companies are being encouraged 3
to use the red, white and blue promotional
logo in their advertising, displays, publications
and other printed matter, so consumers
will know when an item is "Made In
USA." :
Most consumers want products that have
style, reliability and qualfty. American made
goods offer ail of these characteristics while
protecting the jobs of thousands of individuals
who depend on the textile industry.
