Textile Week Hei
Textile Week (Oct. 17-24) has come and
gone and the recognition brought ot the textile
employees throughout South Carolina,
Alabama, and North Carolina was well received.
Needless to sav. everv week is Textile
Week for Clinton's approximately 3,000 employees
who make their living in textiles.
Vet, it is important to set aside a specific
week to call attention to the role textile employees
play in the local, state and national
economies.
The news media did an outstanding job in
carrying related articles about the industry
and its employees. In Clinton and Laurens,
participating merchants went all out in providing
special discounts for Clinton and
other textile employees who had presented
their Wooden Nickels.
