About Den
Did you know that 20 million Americans
have lost all their teeth?
Did you know that 10 million Americans
have lost half their teeth and that 95 percent
of all school children show some form of
tooth decay?
Dental disease, like a lot of other health
problems, is a direct result of our own neglect.
We know what we should do but for
various reasons, we don't get around to
doing it.
Good care of our teeth will save us time
and inconvenience as well as costly dental
bills for correcting problems that could have
been avoided.
Avoiding this outlay of time, money and
aggravation is simple. Research has shown
there is a substance that forms on your teeth
every 24 hours. This is called plaque. To
prevent cavities and gum disease, you must
remove mis plaque.
Plaque plus sugar equals acid, and acid
plus a tooth can equal tooth decay. Preventive
maintenance is not very exciting but in
many respects of life the dividends it pays
are well worth the effort. Dental health is no
exception.
A simple six step program will prevent
decay and the loss of your teeth.
1. Brush teeth daily.
2. Floss daily.
3. Eat balanced meals.
4 Reduce the number of times you eat
sugar rich foods.
5. Use fluorides daily.
