17th in Geneva, Alabama for a management
sales conference.

During the sales conference, Geneva
citizens expressed their appreciation for
Clinton's contribution to the community
by recognizing the company and its officials
with a proclamation from the city
government; a key to the city; numerous
signs prominently displayed at various

The group was honored at a luncheon
given by Mr. and Mrs. Ab Jack Smith.
Joining Clinton Mills, Inc. and Clinton
Mills of Ueneva sales representatives
from strategic locations in the United
States were Clinton's corporate officers;
Jim Raleigh, President, and the sales
staff of Clinton Mills Sales Corporation of
New York; Les Negus and Paul Knight,
the presidents of Elastic Fabrics of
America, Fort Washington, Pa., and MidAmerica
Yarn Mills, Inc. of Pryor,
Oklahoma and Talladega, Alabama, Clin

Joseph S. Caliga Company, Boston; Joe
Fitzgerald and Gordon Greaves of
Charles C. Davis and Company Chicago;
Wells Lange, Textile Services, Inc. of Los
Angeles and Dallas; and Gerald Keller of
Keller-Haver Advertising, Inc., Clinton's
New York based Advertising Agency.

WHEREAS, CLINTON MILLS did
begin its operation in Geneva, Alabama,
on July 1, 1977, and has since that time
become an integral and vital part of the
industrial and economic life of Geneva,
Alabama and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Geneva, Alabama, being
fully aware of the tremendous contribution
and CLINTON MILLS makes to the
entire County of Geneva, Alabama, and
WHEREAS, fully realizing that
without CLINTON MILLS operating
within the City of Geneva, Alabama, that
a large number of our people would be unemployed
and without the high level of
income and other benefits that they
presently enjoy, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Geneva, Alabama, desiring
to show its appreciation for the effort

be and the same is hereby proclaimed as
CLINTON MILLS DAY in the City of
Geneva, Alabama.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a
copy of this resolution be mailed to CLINTON
MILLS of Geneva, Alabama,
Done and dated on this 7th day of
