Bailey Memorial College Scholarships and Loans Programs are available in Mack Parsons' office, located in the Clinton Mills Main Office Building. Please advise him if you have a son or daughter who is a high school graduating senior this year, and he will he pleased to provide you with the proper application forms. Geneva employees can obtain Scholarship and Loan forms from Personnel Director Bob Dettmar. The deadline for filing an application is April 15, 1980. Gaffney Promoted Charles Gaffney has been promoted from Loom Technician to Lydia Assistant Weaving Superintendent. Gaffney is on the third shift. He re-joined Clinton Mills Jan. 19,1976. Gaffney is a World War II veteran and , resides at Route 2, Clinton. A former first baseman on the former Clinton Mills Cavalier baseball team, he continues to devote considerable time to enjoying various sf>orts activities, lie attends Lydia Baptist Church. Board of Directors has elected J R. "Dick" Swetenburg Corporate Vice President of Manufacturing. Swetenburg succeeds Mr. David H. Roberts who retired Feb. 15 upon reaching his 65th birthday. Roberts had been with Clinton Mills 27 years, 12 of which were devoted to the direction of manufacturing of Clinton Mills and Clinton Mills of Geneva (Alabama). A graduate of Clemson University, Swetenburg joined Clinton Mills in 1963 as Superintendent of Lydia Spinning. In 1965, he was promoted to Plant Manager r11;~1. irwo . 1 kji uuuiuii ^u. i, in i3do, mi l.yaia riant Manager, and in 1972, to Plant Manager of Clinton No. 2, respectively. Since Sept. 1, 1977 he had served as Manager of Greige Mills Manufacturing with responsibilities for Clinton's Bailey, Clinton No. 1. Clinton No. 2, and Lydia Plants as well as Clinton Mills of Geneva Plants 1 and 2. He is active in numerous textile organizations, the First Presbyterian EFA Awarded Symbol Of E: Elastic Fabrics of America, a subsidiary of Clinton Mills. Inc. has again received the Sears, Roebuck and Com pany symbol of Excellence Plaque which represents excellence in merchandise suppi ied to Sears during the past year.
