Gifts To Educ
Eighteen educational institutions in six
states received a combined total of $14,130
in contributions from the Bailey
Foundation during the past year under
the provisions of the Matching Gifts
Program for Clinton Mills and M.S.
Bailey Bank employees.
There were 29 employees at five locations
contributing from $10 to $1,000 to
educational institutions.
The Matching Gifts to Education
Program is designed to encourage Clinton
Mills, Inc., its subsidiaries, and affiliated
corporations' employees and directors to
give personal financial support to
educational institutions of their choice
which meet the eligibility requirements.
Such gifts, in amounts of $10 to $1,000 per
calendar year, will be matched dollar for

Application forms for the 1980 M.S.
Bailey Memorial College Scholarships
and Loans are now available.
Employees who have a son or daughter
who is a graduating senior can obtain applicable
seholarshi, and loan application
forms from Mack Parsons in the Main Office.

Christmas Savings Account, should handle
the transaction with the Payroll

M.S. Bailey and Son. Bankers no longer
issue early withdrawal checks for employee
Christmas Savers.
The new way of paying early Christmas
savings withdrawal for Clinton (S.C.) emnlovees
makes it more convenient for
those employees wishing to withdraw
Christmas Savings prior to the normal
payout period. Once an account is paid
out during the year, it cannot be restarted
in that particular savings year.
No interest will be paid on early
withdrawals.

tax purposes.
An employee contribution is one which
is the personal gift of an employee, actually
paid by the employee, and not
merely pledged to a qualifying
educational institution. An eligible employee
may make a contribution to more
than one qualifying educational institution.
The total amount of the matching
contributions to institutions shall not exceed
$1,000 per individual during one
calendar year during which the plan
operates.
The Foundation's annual contribution
under this program will match a personal
contribution in amount of $10 or more of

Under the Matching Gifts Program
there shall he no restrictions on the use of
the individual or Foundation contributions
by the recipient institutions.
In order to .ualify under this program,
the employees' contributions may be in
the form of cash, or securities having a
quoted market value, and paid directly to
the qualified institution.
Matching Gifts forms are available
from Claude A. Crocker, Administrator
of the Bailey Foundation or Mack Parsons,
or Bob Dettmar, at Geneva.
Since inception of the Matching Gifts
Program in December 1. 1977, a total of
$32,685 has been contributed to various
qualifying educational institutions. A like
amount has been matched by the Foundation.

Robert Arthur Wilkio
Wiikie Named General
Services Supervisor
Robert Arthur Wiikie has been
promoted to General Services Supervisor,
succeeding Glenn Downs who has retired.
Wiikie, who joined the company
Dpcpmhpr 27 1967 in the Lvdia Main
tenance Department, is a member of the
Hejaz Shrine Temple, Campbell Masonic
Lodge and the James B. Parrott Chapter
of the Eastern Star. He is also a veteran
of the U.S. Navy.
Wilkie is the father of two sons. George
and Joe. Joe is Superintendent of Geneva
#1 Carding and Spinning.
His hobbies include fishing, hunting,
and cattle raising.
