Hill Hill, who is training in the Cottoi
Buying and Classing Department, recen
tly completed the Caleot Cotton Buyini
and Marketing School in Bakersvillc
Calif.
The school, sponsored by Calcot, ,
California Cotton Co-operative, trains in
dividuals to become proficient in cottoi
fiber selections.
Specific areas covered in the seve:
weeks course included grading, determin
ing staple lengths, and other cotton fibe
characteristics.
While in the cotton producing regior
Hill visited the growing regions, observe
the ginning operations, toured a numbe
of experimental farms, and learned ac
ditional information on proper fibc
warehousing.
Students participating in the seve
week school were required to pass the Ui
ited States Department of Agriculture
government standard test as it relates I
cotton classing and selection.

Clinton Mills and its employees have
once again responded well to the 1979-80
United Way of Greater Clinton Drive by
contributing $19,070.50 to the $82,214
goal.
Each cash gift and pledge through
payroll deduction helps the United Way
support the many health, character
building and family service organizations
which comprise the program.
Serving as officers in the United Way
are Sonny King, Vice President; Walter
A. Sigman, Treasurer; Dick Swetenburg,
