Lions Club 1
Twenty-five members of the Clinton
Lions Club toured the Bailey Plant November
2.
Lions' President Hank Cronic coordinated
the tour with the Clinton Mills'
Industrial and Public Relations Department.
Lions' members assembled in the Bailey
Conference Room and viewed the company's
slide presentation, "We Are What
We Promise" before beginning the tour.
Carding Superintendent Don Wilkins
Spinning Superintendent George Grant,
and Cloth Superintendent Ray Lane answered
questions about the plants operations
as the tour progressed.
Specially printed cards along the
"Fiber to Fabric" route described each
manufacturing process and the value of
the specific pieces of machinery.
At the conclusion of the tour, Lions'
members were served refreshments in the
plant venda-teria.
Members of the Club also received a
box of handkerchiefs made from the plants
65-35 fabric as a momento of the occasion.
