A freshman at I.anHpr Mice M^ITlhnnnnn i c thn daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James MeElhannon of Route 3, Clinton. She is a 1974 graduate of Clinton High School where she was a cheerleader in her junior and senior years. Mr. and Mrs. McElhannon are both Lydia Spinning employees. She is also a Bailey Loan Scholar. MMA !,./ JiMH William E. Bigbee graduated from Piedmont Technical College August 30. He majored in Air Conditioning, Heating. and Refrigeration. Elaine, a third shift employee, is the first Plant No. 1 female em pioyee 10 compieie such training. h I have just finished reading an article called "Profitunity," and I'll bet you can guess easily what "profitunity" means. It's the opportunity to make a profit. The article pointed out that if a company ordinarily makes three cents profit on every dollar of sales, then three pennies saved in production costs are just as valuable as a dol1 : _ -_i lar in saies. I never looked at it quite like that before, but a company salesman might work pretty hard to get a $100 order, and a person involved in production can get the same re suits, profitvvise, by saving three dollars worth of goods. This makes everybody a sure enough member of the profit team. Profits make our Company, or OII^ UUICI , JJIUW UI1U |JI usper, providing more job security and, of course, greater contributions to our Profit Sharing Fund.
