Finch is a well known "humorist" and has entertained audiences from coast to coast. He joined Texize as a salesman and rapidly rose to District and Division Manager before being named Director of Sales Training. He is a graduate of the Field Sales Managers' Institute of the National Sales Executive Club. Over 400 active and retired employees who have completed 25 or more years continuous service to the company will be honored. The Old Timer's Club will gain twenty-one new members during 1974. A "class" photo will be made of the incoming members. Albert Smith, and Steve Lanford have been named advisors for Clintex Junior Achievement Company during the 1974-75 year. Fennell is Clinton Mills Assistant Office Manager; Smith and Lanford arc Manufacturing Management Trainees. Clintex is a miniature business enter prise operated by area high school students. Clinton Mills Returns To Standard Time October 27 Congress has given more weight to public convenience than to the energy shortage by voting to restore standard time to the nation this winer. As a result, South Carolina, along with many other sections of the nation. will set their clocks back one hour. October 27. ending 10 straight months of daylight saving time. The only exceptions will be the residents ot eastern Indiana. Hawaii. Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Samoa, who observe standard time the year round. Clinton Mills will continue on standard time until next February 23 when clocks will he set torward an hour again. Then, unless Congress intervenes, the regular pattern of daylight time six months a year would be resumed in \JVWOCT IHiD. Year-round daylight time was approved by Congress last December as an energy conservation measure. It is reported that the equivalent of 100,000 barrels of oil per day was saved during the first four months of 1074 because of daylight saving time.
