The July 4th Independence Day celebration
has a double meaning for Clinton
Mills employees. This special
holiday, in addition to being Independence
Day is also the long awaited
time each year when Clinton employees
enjoy their summer vacations.
All Clinton plants will close from
Midnight, Friday, June 29, til Sunday,
Midnight, July 8.

years continuous service with the company.
If past experiences hold true, Clin

July 1st will be paid from 10 A.M. to
11 A.M. Friday, July 6. Clin'on Plants
1 & 2 and the Bailey Plr nt will be
paid at the Clinton Mills P yroll Office.
The Lydia Plant will b- paid at the
Lydia Plant Manager's Office.
Employees not receiving their checks
at this time may pick them up at
Clinton Mills Payroll Office during
regular office hours. Checks not
picked up at the Payroll Office will
be distributed on the job at the regular
weekly pay period.
Vacation pay checks will be distributed
June 29 with the regular payroll

Carl R. Rogers, Bailey Plant Manager,
was electod President of the Southern
Textile Association during their
annual convention earlier this month.
Rogers succeeds retiring president
John L. Sherrill, a Greenwood, S. C.
textile executive.
D. H. Roberts, Vice President of
Manufacturing, received the David
Clark Award during convention activities.
The David Clark Award is presented
at the convention and honors a
past association president who has continued
to serve actively for a period of
not less than 10 years in the association.
Roberts was STA president in 1962-63
