THE WEAVER
My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
Nor all the pattern see.
Sometimes He chooses sorrow.
And I in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the under side.
^ Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly.
Will He reveal the pattern
Or tell the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
In the weaver's skillful hand
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

OPERATE POWER ]
The family mower can be a friend I
or enemy?depending on how you use <
it.
Power mowers are a vast improve
ment over the old manual types but in
some cases they have proven to be
"do-it-yourself amputation kits" for
some unwary victims.
Although it is a valuable tool designed
to reduce grass-cutting time and
effort to a minimum, the power mower
carries a threat to your safety. Any
member of the family allowed to use
the mower should know the hazards
involved and show respect for the rules
of safe operation.
To help Clinton employees through
the season without mishap, here are
tips on the safe use of power mowers.
1. Clear your lawn of rocks, sticks
and other objects that might be thrown
by the mower.
2. Know how to stop the engine
quickly in emergencies.
3. Make sure your feet are safely
away from the blade when starting the
engine.
4. Wear sturdy shoes; never mow
while barefooted.
5. Do not allow children or pets in
the mowing area.
6. Never leave the mower unattended
while the engine is running.
7. Never mow in an up-and-down
direction on hills and banks.
8. Do not try to remove any object
from the blade while the engine is on.
9. Never refuel the mower while it
is running. Don't spill gasoline on the
hot exhaust pipe. After you have put
