Three Men Promol
Three Clinton Mills employees have
been promoted from within the company
to areas of supervisory responsibilities.
^ George Gregg Link, John Henry
Payne, and Claude Bagwell have been
named Assistant Superintendent of
Bailey Carding, Plant No. 1 Carding,
and Plant No. 2 Weaving, respectively.
Link, a native of Clinton, is a graduate
of Clinton High School, and holds
a B. S. Degree in Industrial Education
from Clemson University.
# Thirty Four Eligible
To Retire
Thirty four Clinton Mills employees
will be eligible for retirement under
the Clinton Mills Profit Sharing and
Retirement Plan on January 1, 1973.
Members of the Profit Sharing and
Retirement Committee interviewed
the eligible members recently to review
the retirement provisions of the

John Payne

He, his wife, the former Cathy Bigbee,
and their four months old son,
Brian, live on Route 1, Clinton.
John Payne, who lives on Friendship
Drive, has held numerous manufacturing
duties prior to assuming his present
post.
A graduate of Bell Street High School,
he is married to the former Bobby
Suber of Clinton. The Payne's have
one son, Christopher, 10.
John is active in Vaughnville Baptist
Church, Chappells.

The official Clintex Junior Achievement
charter was presented by Clinton
Mills Personnel Director Calvin Cooper
to President Daria Cronic. Daria is the
daughter of Clinton Mills Training Director
and Mrs. Hank Cronic. The
official charter, like that of many other
corporations, enaDies ine company to
operate on a small scale as any larger
unit would function.

Claude Bagwell
tendent Positions
Claude Bagwell, who was promoted
from Loom Technician, to Assistant
Superintendent of Weaving, has been
employed by Clinton Mills for ten
years.
Bagwell, a member of Grace Covenant
Presbyterian Church, is married
to the former Ruby Nell Prather. The
Bagwells have three children: Carole
Sue, 12; Ronda Jean. 9; and Tony
Ray, 15.
They live at 113 Cora Street, Laurens
Vacation Pay
Checks Distributed
Christmas Vacation Pay Checks totalling
more than $100,000 have been
distributed to eligible Clinton Mills
employees who have more than five
years continuous service with the
company
The July 4th Vacation Pay Checks
totalled more than $140,000. These
were distributed prior to the vacation
week in the summer.
The two vacation pay checks paid
to eligible employees is in addition to
the more than $135,000 naid tn eligible
employees in the form of Paid Holiday
Pay.
The combined pay outs exceed more
than $375,000 annually.
