1971 Scholarship Program

There is siill lime to apply for the
Mercer Silas Bailey Scholarship.
) All applications must be filed with
the Bailey Foundation by April 15.
Scholarship application forms and
additional information are available
from the Clinton Mills Industrial Relation
Department.
Two M. S. Bailey Scholarships are
awarded annually provided there are
qualified applicants. Each has a value
up to a maximum of $1,000 per year
for four scholastic years of college
training.
Offers of interest-free four year

A graduate of Dorman High School,
Mrs. Leopard is a secretary in the
Spartan Mills Sales Office.
An internal auditor at Spartan Mills,
Mr. Leopard was graduated from
Clinton High School and University
of South Carolina. Mr. Leopard is the
son of ~2 weaving employee Truman
Leopard and Mrs. Leopard who is emplaved
in ~2 Spinning.
Mr. Leopard attended his son as best
man. Ushering with the bride's brother,
Lewis Turkpl' were Toll n k'pnnolli
Uldtick and William David Glenn,
both of Clinton, and J. Wilford McAbec.
Bridal attendants wore red velvet
floor length gowns with empire waistlines
and matehing velvet headdresses.
Mrs. Guy Scoggin attended as matron
of honor. The bride's sisters. Misses
. Wanda and Linda Tucker, served as
bridesmaids with her cousin, Miss
Donna Ann Blackwelder, and the
bridegroom's cousin, Miss Jean Nelson

Educational loans may be made in
amounts up to $1,000 per year, but
must not exceed a total of $3,400 over
a four year period to any one student.
Loans will be offered to eligible applicants
desiring to pursue Two Year
Degree programs leading to Associate
Degrees in accredited Junior Colleges,
accredited Business Colleges, and State
Technical Educational Centers. Loans
are also available for eligible applicants
to further their education in
private Business Colleges. Adult Education
Courses, and Technical Education
Centers.

man at Greenville General Hospital
School of Nursing.
Kathy plans to enter Clemson University
upon graduation from Nursing
School and work on her BS Degree.

William Gambrell killed this 185
pound buck on a recent deer hunt.
William states that the deer's perfect
rack places him in the trophy hunter's
class. He has had the rack mounted.
