Itpginninfi the ISeiv Year
One of the great things about the
beginning of a new year is that we
start fresh. It is the turning over of
the page. Now we have a blank sheet.
And we can put onto it what we want.
It's like starting out with a pristine
canvas. What colors should be selected
from the palette? Or think of a garden
plot?shall we plant hyacinths or turnips.
thyme, lavender, or an oak tree?
It is a time of decision. Horoscopes,
fortune tellers's globes, tea leaves, and
dream interpretations give only shadowy
guidelines ? even for those who
believe in such things.
The real truth is that we must make
these decisions for ourselves. Not everv
thing that will happen in the new
year is up to fate. Once we have taken
the responsibility for admitting and
mapping out our goals, we are well on
our way to achieving them.
