The IRS said the card

status of taxpayers. This
resulted in a decrease of

by the new form has
made it possible to provide

Of the tax form packages
being sent to taxpayers this
year, (>0 million will be
printed in color, the IRS
said. The red and blue format,
first introduced last
year, is intended to direct
attention to areas of the
return where errors are
most commonly made. Over
the counter copies of Form

packages of tax returns and

printed in black ink.
With the exception of
some four million farmers
and fishermen, taxpayers
should receive their individual
income tax forms
and instructions by mail
the first week in January.
