Daylight Saving Time
If you had been looking
for that hour's sleep which
you lost back in April when
we went on Daylight Saving
time, you got it back on
October 2(5 when the Clinton
Mills area, along with
most of the nation, returned
to Standard Time.
Whenever you made the
change in your time pieces,
you moved the clock back
one hour. By doing this,
you "gained" the hour that
had been lost in the spring.
Daylight Saving Time
was introduced during
World War I to save precious
fuel for lighting.

then minister to France, in
1784 wrote an article advising
the people of Paris
to adopt DST in order to
save millions of dollars
each year on candles.
So light bulbs, or candles,
whichever you save, your
time pieces went back one
hour October 26.
