Franklin Dunaway of Clinton
and Charles Franklin
Dunaway also of Clinton,
received a B.S. Degree from
Winthrop College. She is a
member of Phi Kappa Phi
and Kappa Delta Pi. She is

The bride chose a gown
with a bodice of re-embroidered
Calais lace with
a portrait neckline, organza
skirt with a cathedral train.

illusion fell from a lace hat
with fabric flowers at the

The attendants wore full
length blue cotton voile
dresses with chapel trains,
jewel necklines, seveneighth
sleeves, trimmed
with white lace and blue
chiffon inserts at the highwaist
line. Their blue voile
hats were covered at the
crown with fabric flowers.
Each carried an old fashion
bouquet of mixed miniature
roses, daisies and gypsophelia.
Mr. Hargrove served his
son as best man. Other attendants
were Dr. Michael
Boggan of Kansas City, Mr.
Perry Jones Lockerman of
Now Bern, N. C. and Mr.
Carson Lee Fifer of Alexandria,
Va.
For traveling the bride
wore a navy and white
crepe evening suit with
navy patent accessories.
After a honeymoon in
Jamaica they will be at

Cooper in a double ring
ceremony at 8 o'clock Tues
day, June 24 at the Christ
Church Episcopal in Greenville.
A reception was
given by the bride's parents
at the Woman's Club.
The bride is the daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Williams
Blackwell of 68 Kensington
Road, Greenville.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Calvin Asa Cooper
of 330 Poplar Street, Clinton.
Mr. Cooper is Clinton
Mills Personnel Director.
The bride, who was given
in marriage by her father,
wore her mother's formal
wedding gown of candlelight
slipper satin, with
hand run re - embroidered
Alecon lace yoke, styled
with a pendant neckline
and long sleeves. The
princess style dress was
trimmed from neckline to
hemline with tiny satin
buttons, and carried a cathedral
train. She wore a
pin of seed pearls and diamonds
worn by her mother
and grandmother at their
weddings. Her Brussels
lace veil was chapel length.
Mr. Cooper served his son
as best man. Ushers were

groom of Clinton; Christian
D. Beukema of Liberty;

at noon July 4th in Wyatt
Chapel of Presbyterian College.
The bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Putsy Silas Bailey
of 316 S. Woodrow St. and
the late Mr. Bailey, who
was president of Clinton
Mills.
Mr. Chandler is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Grady Chandler of 708 S.
Broad St. He and the bride
will make their home at
Crystal Plaza in Arlington,
Va.; he is Special Assistant
to the Federal Co-Chairman
of the Coastal Plains Regional
Commission in
Washington, D. C.

the bride in marriage. Her
white satin dress was made
skimmer style with built-in
Watteau train. Ecru lace
was appliqued to the Em
pire bodice, wnicn teatured
a square neckline and long
sleeves.
Miss Helen Pope of Atlanta,
Ga., served as the
bride's attendant, wearing
a long-sleeved melon chiffon
dress with satin collar,
tucked bodice and fulllength
skirt.
