You Recognize?
Wear A Smile
Got your share of problems?
Sure. Doesn't everybody.
But walking around with
a face in full gloom does not
eliminate vour troubles.
That grim, sickly look of
misfortune does not change
a single problem. Quite the
reverse is true, for the
frown of despair is contagious
and those around
you display their disgust
to keep you company.
Should you walk around,
then, like some silly oaf
with a perpetual grin on
your face?
Of course not.
The practiced smile is as
nauseatingly sweet as the
look of doom is horrendously
sour.
A natural look, a smile
that says, "I'm a human being
who likes life," is worth
a fortune.
Socially, you cannot fail.
Everybody feels comfortable
in the presence of one
who can smile.
In business or in professional
life, a smile spells
enthusiasm and a zest for
getting things done.
Yes, a smile is an asset.
It enhances your face, your
personality. And as it paves
the way for joy within your
own being, it inspires those
around you to smile and
cooperate with you.
"Nothing on earth can
smile but man," observed
Henry Ward Beecher. "It is
a prerogative of man."
Wear yours today.
Tomorrow . . . too.
