Rickey Rogers
Rickey Rogers and Edgar
Foster, sons of Clinton Mills
employees, were chosen
earlier this month as Clinton
Mills' representatives
to Palmetto Boy's State.
Both young men are rising
seniors at Clinton High
School. They were selected
with the recommendations
of school officials on the
basis of their demonstrated
and potential leadership
ability.
Rickey, age 17, is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Carl R.
Rogers. He is active in
many school activities. Recently
he played a leading
role in the Junior Class
Plav. "Man Overboard." He
is a qualified Bus Driver
and a member of the Transportation
Club. His father
is Manager of the Bailey
Plant.
Edgar, age 17, son of Mr.
and Mrs. John C. Foster, is
a member of the school
baseball team and marchNew
Computer
Installed In OHite
A new third generation
electronic computer will
replace Clinton Mills' present
computer installation
by June 1. The new IBM360
Model 20 has arrived
and is being programmed
to replace the three-yearold
IBM 1440 Model.
"Employees will notice
little or no difference in the
appearance of their payroll
checks," according to Mr.
George B. Brockenbrough,
Data Processing Director.

Boy's State, a mythical
state organized and administered
for citizenship training,
is sponsored annually
at the Citadel in Charleston
by the South Carolina
American Legion Post.
Governmental procedures
are taught the citizens
through practical experience,
as they select and
campaign for candidates
for Governor and other
officials of their makebelieve
state.

government is operated.
Traditionally, the gathering,
held in early June, is
addressed by the Governor
and both South Carolina
United States Senators during
the week-long program.
VACATION WEEK:
JUNE 28 - JULY 8
President Vance announced
the dates of the
1968 July 4th vacations
with Dav on the Plants
News Centers April 16.
All Plants will close
for vacation at 12 midnight
June 28 and resume
operations at 12:01
A.M. Monday July 8
(Sunday midnight).
The announcement was
made as far in advance
as possible for the convenience
of employees
in planning their vacations.
Additionally this ear.

designated as week-end
days off for periods of
recreation and relaxation.
