"-: *-. , .., ' .u**/J */' *. / a r Construction of the Bailey Plant, Clinton Mills' new cotton - polyester blend plant, is nearing completion. Ground breaking ceremonies for the ultra-modern facility were held on the 70th Anniversary of the Company, February 1, 1966. The new plant is now approximately 90" complete according to the most recent report of Company Engineer, Bailey Dixon. Maior areas remaining are: installation of the monitoring system for utility functions, completion of central station air conditioning washers, some electrical wiring, and miscellaneous architectural finishes. Plant Manager Carl R. Rogers' latest machinery erection and installation progress report is as follows: PICKER, STORAGE AND WASTE ROOMS ? All machinery erected, energized, and ready for full production. CARDING?Approximately 25 percent of the cards are positioned and ready for production. SPINNING ?Fifty frames nave Deen installed. Erection on schedule. PREPARATION AREA ? Tlie slasher has been in production since mid - October. Two Quillers arc also in production. WEAVING ?
