Spring! The time of year
when its so hard to stay in
doors! Maybe that's why we
don't have any more windows
in our mill to keep from
tempting us so about the
beautiful outdoors, where the
promise of new life is being
fulfilled in all of nature. Don't
you love sDrint? time?
The mountains are already
calling Doris and Joe Gibbs.
They've motored up there already
on a Sunday or two.
But they visited Mr. and Mrs.
Bill Hardy in Clemson on a
recent Sunday.
All c Jim Blackwell, of
Travis Air Force Base, California,
spent a 20 day leave
with his mother. Inez Blackwell.
It was really a surprise
when he came home. He had
written and the bottom was
covered in leather It turned
out that Jim was the package,
the leather was the bottom of
his shoes.
Gertrude Fowler has returned
to work after being a
patient at Bailey Memorial
Hospital, and we're glad she's
able to be back.
Joe Strickland, brother of
Ola Meadors, is a patient at
Greenville General Hospital
at the time of this writing. We
hope he'll soon be able to be
home again.
Newell Brewington is bragging
about a big grandson.

Chancy, Jr.. weighed 8
lbs. 12 oz. at birth. Parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Robv Chaney
(Betty Jo). Paternal grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. James Earle
of Laurens, announce the birth
of a son at Bailey Memorial
Hospital April 10. James
Ernest Eugene Earle weighed
8 lbs. 8'i> oz. Mother is the
former Miss Jean Holbert.
Father. James, works with us
here in weave room No. 3, The
couple have one other child,
Cynthia Denise, who is l1^
vr. old.
Ellison Roberts took a
week's vacation the first full
week in April. He and his son
O'Neal, of Pickens, enjoyed
three days in Augusta, Ga., at
the Masters Golf Tournament.

news he can think of right
now is that he wants some
