Safety Hints
It is estimated that more
han 14 million power mowers
nil be operated throughout
he nation this spring, and the

luch concern. Below are listd
some precautions for your
onsideration in preventing
his type accident.
1. When starting, stand
firmly. Make sure your
feet are in a safe position
and that all guards
are in place.
2. Know how to discn
gage me ciutcn or stop
the motor quickly.
3. Keep children and pets
away while mower is
in operation.
4. Shut the motor off
when the mower is left
ungarded.
5. Clear the area to be
mowed of stones, wire,
or other debries.
6. Always disconnect the
spark plug wire when
working underneath
the mower or any of
the rotating parts.
7. Have proper facilities
to load the mower on a
truck, and position
yourself correctly when
necessary to lift.
8. Wear proper eve protection.
Be especially watchful
when using this type
equipment. A moment
of forgetfulness ? an
accident ? and a lifetime
reminder.

REGISTRATION BOARD
HERE APRIL 13 & 20
The Laurens County Registration
Board was in session
at the Clinton Community
House on April 13 and in the
Conference Room at Lvdia on
April 20th. New and duplicate
voting certificates were issued
by the Board.
The Board was requested
to visit the Plants for the convience
of employees who had
misplaced their certificates to
obtain a duplicate and for
those who had not obtained
one previously to do so.
