DECEMBER, 1965 News from Plant No. 1 WEAVING NO. 1 2ND SHIFT by Syble McCall Everyone is so busy getting ready for Christmas, we don't have much news this month. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander are looking forward to a visit from their daughter and son-in-law, Capt. and Mrs. David Smart and son, Terry, from Bellevere, Nebraska for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Morgan and family of Colorado will be visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ray Madden during Christmas. The employees of Weaving No. 1, 2nd Shift, would like to take this opportunity to welcome Mr. Dick Swetenburg, our Superintendent, to Clinton Mills No. 1. Also for their adopted son, Richard Griffin White, a Security Officer statoned at Westover Air Force Base in Mass. The dining room table held a wrought iron candelabra with 12 lighted tapers. Richard's mother, Mrs. Vera White, Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Spillers were special invited guests. Randy accompanied Richard to the Greenville airport on Tuesday. He returned by jet to his station. WEAVING NO. 3 1ST SHIFT by Grace Woolen This is the time of year, especially, when we do (or at least should) think of others. Thanksgiving just passed, when we stopped long enough to count our blessings and give thanks for them, and surely we ask for guidance in sharing these blessings with our fellow man. and helping to bring cheer, and help to those ornnMrl ? But some of the most appreciated gifts of all aren't valued in money. God's gift to the world can't be bought bv the most wealthy person in the world. No one can buy love or friendship, but we can give it. I'd like to share this poem with you that I think is very appropriate for now. or any other time.
