What flu outbreak? How
do you stay out of it? One
question at a time:
Flu this winter? The U. S.
Public Health Service says
probably yes. The disease
strikes every two to three
years; this is the year when
Type A primarily is due. But
a certain amount of Type B is
looked for, too.
What's it like? Some influenza
symptoms are like
those of the common cold,
only more so. Sore throat,
nasal congestion, dry cough,
chills, fever, muscular aches
and pains, general weakness.
Temperature rises quickly.

SAFETY CONFERENCE
Calvin A. Cooper, J. R.
Reynolds, and Glen Gaskins
will be delegates at the 53rd
National Safety Congress and
Exposition in Chicago, October
25-23.
Since 1912, "The Congress,"
as it is called, has been the
E biggest, most important safety
event in the nation.
The national meeting on all
aspects and phases of safety
draws between ten and twelve
thousand people to Chicago
for four days of meetings, reports,
special events, and the
world's largest exhibit of
safety devices of all types.
Clinton Mills has sent delegates

Especially beneficial is the
Exposition. It is an educational
and idea-provoking experience
to be brought abreast
with the latest products and
devices designed to help prevent
accidents and save lives.
Many ideas learned by
Company delegates to "The
Congress" in previous years
have been adopted into our
plants' Accident Prevention
Programs.
