JUNE. 1964 WEAVING NO. 3 1ST SHIFT by Grace Woo ten Boy, these months really fly! Seems like only a few weeks ago we were talking about Christmas and here it is the Fourth of July almost. Hope everyone has a safe and happy vacation and many, many thanks to the management for making possible a paid vacation week. Mack Cunningham is all smiles over a new grandson! Donald Edwin Jackson, Jr. weighed in at 7 lbs. 9 ozs. at Anderson Memorial Hospital years of fellowship with them before they retired. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Robinson carried a picnic dinner and accompanied their daughter, Sylvia, to Camp Greenville May .'11. Sylvia was one of the Camp Fire Girls who spent the week up there. Kathy Ward, Brenda Fowler and Willie Wooten were also among those who enjoyed the week at Camp Greenville. TV/f- i * t " ' ivir. ana ivirs. L laude Thornton and granddaughter of Calhoun Falls spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Obe Thornton. May 28. Congratulations Mary and Donald. While we're on the subject of newcomers, maybe some of the rest of you are as far behind as I was. so I'll pass it on. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell had a new arrival in their family April 24. another little girl, who was named Karen Jane. Her sister. Deborah, is 19 months old. I learned about Karen when I asked Bill for news this month and he said he and the Mrs. and their daughters had visited in Charlotte carrying his nephew, Charles ciyde Madden, back home after a visit with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Estes Campbell. Our sincere svmnathv to Missouri Wilkio in the tragic death of her brother, Clarence Anderson, which came close to being a double tragedy. We sure hope you'll soon be able to be up and back at work. Missouri. Also to Mrs. Henrv Suttle who was called to Reidsville. N. C. in May due to the death of her brother-in-law. S. S. Davis, and to Aline Lanford who lost her sister, Mrs. Carrie Craft, Simpsonville, we extend deepest sympathy. Our sincere sympathy to the family of Frank Jacks who passed away June 12. We miss Frank too, after working with him so many years. Also to the families of Mrs. Ursula Blakelv and Mrs. Cordelia Seav who passed away in May. We enjoyed many Mrs. Obe Thornton was called to Greenwood recently due to the illness of her brother, Herbert Johnson. We wish him an early recovery. Mrs. Mary Terry has been a medical patient at Bailey Memorial and also spent some time at Medical College Hospital in Charleston. We hope you'll soon be well again, Mary. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibbs and niece, Cecile McCoy, enjoyed a week end camping trip in t? a M n i la^ctn ruit'bi, in. recenny. Glad to report Evans Lever back at work after a sudden illness which scared everyone out of their wits. We're mighty glad it wasn't as bad as everyone thought, Eb, and that you're feeling much better. Eb has four new puppies at his house. I asked Ethel what they were going to do with them and she said Eb was going to keep three of them and he had given her the other one. Happy Birthday To: Susan Wooten who will be 6 years old July and to her granddaddy, Cecil Wooten who will celebrate a birthday July 22. Doris Gibbs whose birthday is July 22 and her little granddaughter, Denise Gibbs. who will be 1 year old July 13. Claude Ward and his son. Douglas, share June 29 as their birthday. Doug will be 12 years old but Claude didn't say how old he'd be. Randy Ward celebrates his 7th birthday June 26. O'Neal Patterson, son of the Ray Pattersons, will be 11 years old July 25. WEAVING NO. 2 3RD SHIFT by Dot Garrett Sorrv I missed the deadline iitsi monin dui 1 waited until the last night as always and I came in contact with a flying shuttle and it made me forget all I was supposed to do. We miss two of our old fellow employees. Mildred Wilson and Bobbie Owens. Mildred moved to Arkansas and Bobbie quit to await the adoption of a babv. She only had to wait a few days and has already been blessed with a baby boy. We wish both of them lots of good luck. Ann King spent a week at Camp Greenville. Handv and Sammy Ginn spent a week at Junior Police Camp. Yvetlo King spent a week visiting in Union. Francos King visited relatives in Union recently. She is also breaking in a new car. Waters King of Nashville, THE CLOTHMAKER Tennessee was a recent visitor of Frances and Ches King. We welcome Eunice Caughman and Gladys Ginn to our department. Janice Ginn has had the measles. Lannie "Pete" Gooch spent two weeks with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Fitzpatrick. in Danielsville, Ga. Mildred Bible. Agnes Scott and Alan Strickland are back with us. We also have a new doffer, Marion Bowman. We wish to welcome you all. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rochester recently visited Mrs. Rochester's brother. Mr. William Bobo, in Atlanta. Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Press Chanev had as visitors over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thomas and children of Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Thomas is Mrs. Chaney's brother.
