Mrs. Webb Taylor and Bonnie visited Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hughes of Gray Court Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart and sons spent the Sunday after Christmas in Gaffney with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Starnes and family. Mr. William H. Gladden and son of Miami, Florida were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Hughev. Jackie Hughey celebrated her 10th birthday January 23. Alvin Armstrong and family visited his father, Earl Armstrong, of Lydia last Sunday. Robert C. Brownlee of U. S. Navy spent Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Brownlee. SPINNING 1ST SHIFT by Mozelle Nelson Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Patterson and Joe visited Mr. and Mrs. Donald Lawton and children of Orangeburg recently. They also visited Mrs. Patterson's son, Bruce Mills, at U. S. C. Bruce will be home January 17th for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. O'Shields visited Mrs. Elsie Strange of Ly d ia Artcr K-'^l W\f>m The NBC Peacock would be rightfully jealous of the 14" x 20" decorative plaques being made by members of the Lvdia Hobby Club this month. This peacock made by the Club's leader Miss Nellie Osborne is comprised of several hundred colorful gemettcs glued onto black velour paper. Mr. and Mrs. James Butler held open house at their new home in Lakewood during the holidays. About 25 guests called including Mrs. Butler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Larkins, of Greenwood and Mr. Butler's mother, Mrs. Mattie Butler, of Ninety Six. Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Bennett attended a Christmas party at Panorama Lodge given by Chemstrand. Mrs. T. R. McElveen and Butch McElveen attended the wedding of their niece and cousin. Miss Annie Jo Rountree. to Mr. Vernon Eugene Sanders of Jacksonville, Alabama and Columbia on December 28 at the First Baptist Church in Williston, South Carolina. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Roberts had their daughter, Carolyn, and son, Edward, home for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Cannon were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roberts on Sunday before Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barlow attended a Christmas dinner and dance at the American Legion Hut in Greenwood given by Chemstrand. Mr. and Mrs. T. R.
