WEAVING NO. 3 1ST SHIFT by Emily and Grace Mr. and Mrs. Sam Owens Mr. and Mrs. Truman Owens and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shealy attended the two world series ' XT ball names played in i\e\\ York. Being great fans of the Yankees, you can well imagine their disappointment ir that phase of their trip, t '.1 they have some things worth remembering. They loft Clin ton Saturday before the* <orie? started and stopped at Phila delphia Sunday and attendee the football game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. After the game they left for New York arriving there on Sunday night which gave them tw< full days to explore the towi before the series started 01 Wednesday. They visited the Kyle Fuller celebrated his first birthday October 13. He is the nephew of Izell Campbell and grandson of Mr. and Mrs. "Bud" Fuller. Empire State Building, the United Nations Building and the Clinton Mills Offices where they really got the V.I.P. treatment. On their way home they came by way of Washington. D. C. Their tour there included the White House, the Washington Monument, the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorial, the Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon. So, even if the ball games were disappointing, the rest of the trip was worth the time (and money) I guess. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davenport are rejoicing over the news of a new grandson bo^n October 8 to Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Davenport who are in the Philippine Islands. The little fellow has been named Charles Tyson and weighed 7 lb. 4 oz. Both mother and baby are fine, but the telegram didn't say how the father was. Congratulations to all. Miss Dianne Davenport of Greenville General Hospital spent a recent week end at home with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davenoort. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred McNinch and Johnny visited Mr. McNinch's brother. Frank, and his family in Rock Hill recently. Mrs. Nan McNineh. mother of Alfred McNinch is recuperating well at home following surgery at Laurens hospital. Mrs. Addie Lawrence was called to Anderson the day we turned in news last month because of an accident in which her daughter. Rettv. and husband and children were involved. Mr. and Mrs. Juan Holder and two children were hit by a car which failed 5 to stop at a stop sign. Juan was not hurt but Betty and 1 K -# : ,3^$$ i ^ StfaA^kai 1 Debbie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe McCall. She is six months old. 3 .J i Ann Berry, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Lawrence, observed her 10th birthday October 9. She is the daughter of Mrs. Betty Holder. the children stayed in the hospital 5 days with multiple injuries, Betty being hurt in legs and chest, baby's face was bruised and cut badly enough until the doctors think it will require plastic surgery later and Donna's legs and nose were injured. But we're glad to report that all are recuperating nicely at home now and we wish them all a speedy recovery. Glad to report that Ellison Roberts is able to be back on the job after being a medi cal patient at Bailey Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. George Price visited Mr. and Mrs Ellis Turner in Ninety Six. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wooten, Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Bagwell and Mrs. Ruth Oxner visited Rev. and Mrs. George James of Duncan recently. Birthdays and Anniversaries Mr. and Mrs. Gholdie Simmons celebrated their 10th wedding anniversarv October 24. Mr. and Mrs. Bootsie Allman will celebrate their wedding anniversary November 6. Mrs. C. S. Windsor celebrated a birthday October 26. Mrs. Gertrude Fowler has a birthday rslovember 1h. Larry Fowler, son of the J. W. Fowlers, has a birthday November 13. Deborah Campbell, daughter of the Bill Campbells, has a birthday November 25. She will be 1 year old. Bill Campbell celebrated his birthday October 10.
