Robin Owens, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Furman Bratcher, celebrated her 1st birthday March 12. Mrs. G. W. Savs he is trying for 64. Tim Bowling was 5 on March 17, Bill Bowling was 7 on March 25. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. William Bowling. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Leopard of Baltimore, Maryland and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gossett were visitors of Nellie Pike and family. Mrs. Leopard and Mrs. Gossett are Mrs. Pike's sisters. Nellie Pike celebrated her (?) birthday March 22. I wonder if she and Major Crawford are the same age. Major Urawtord and son. Terry, and Mike Sanders and Vinson Templeton enjoyed races in Spartanburg March 2. Mr. and Mrs. Vinson Templeton will celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary March 31. Mr. Templeton will celebrate a birthday March 31. Mr. and Mrs. William Bowling and family were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bowling in Greenville. Jim Carroll attended races in Spartanburg March 2. Bruce Ellis is spending a 30 day furlough with his parents. He is presently stationed in Cuba. WEAVING NO. 3 2ND SHIFT by Doris Hughes Terry Kitchens visited Mr. and Mrs. Paid Kitchens and family recently. Terry is now in the Navy and on return to base he will ship out to Hawaii. Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and family visited Mr. Smith's sister, Mrs. Viola Mitchell, in Greenwood recently. Coker and Mrs. Loretta Godfrey visited in Augusta, Georgia recently. Mrs. Wilma Coleman and children visited Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hawkins of Greenville recently. Stanley Alexander, son of Gene Alexander, is taking his basic training in San Diego, California. We are glad to have Helen Gregory back after being out sick. Capers, Tom and Ether have the flu. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Staggs of Belton visited Mr. and Mrs. Capers Gregory recently. We are glad to have Mrs. Rose Satterfield back after being out sick the past year. Mrs. Bodie is getting along nicely after a recent operation. Burl Kirbv was a recent visitor in Daytona Beach, Florida. Burl said he enjoyed the race very much. Mrs. Willie Dean gave her son. Mr. and Mrs. Major Crawford and children visited Mrs. Crawford's mother. Mrs. James Dover, in Rutherfordton, N. C. on Sunday, March 3. Mr. and Mrs. Hall King and children and Mr. Robert Ballew visited Mrs. George Hill in Spartanburg. Mr. and Mrs. King also visited their daughter. Miss Sylvia King, at Winthrop and attended open house on March 10. Mrs. L. W. King celebrated her eighty-third birthday on March 7.
