If you're over on Jackson Street drop by and see the pup with the kittens at Ethel and Eb Lever's. This ten month old puppy, Tippy, brought a family of kittens home and acts as if they were hers. She gets Ethel up at night to feed them from a bottle. Just about the cutest thines vou over saw. If vou don't believe it ask Ethel or go by and see for yourself. Maybe we'll have a picture of them next month. We extend a warm welcome to Larry Cauhle who comes to us from Weaving No. 2. third shift. Larry has replaced Joe McCall, who left us to go to Anderson overhauling looms. Best of luck Joe, but we sure miss you. Pat Lanford reports that thov had a vvnnHprfnl twn weeks revival at the Church of God on Elizabeth Street. Rev. Fred Seyvester, of California was the evangelist. Notice !! There have been complaints from workers who have parked cars on the one way street, that children (or someone) in passing on the sidewalk have scratched the cars. We hope that this won't happen anymore and that people will have respect for the property of others. Thanks Glad to report that George Price is able to be up and out some after being a patient in Hays Hospital clue to injuries received in a fall while at work. Nellie s?id he just had throngs of visitors. Those from out of town were Mrs. Bessie Nelson and son, Ed, of Laurens, Mrs. Mattie Burgman, Laurens, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Price and Mr. James Price of Winder, Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Veal, Commerce, Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Turner, Ninety Six, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Gregory and Mrs. Lorraine Young of Chester. Miss Margaret Lawrence, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Lawrence, was among the first patients at the new hospital. Margaret had a tonsi lectomy and is recovering nicely. Hope he has good news next month. Robert E. Elmore, Jr. has been discharged from the Army after two years in Service. He was in Germany 18 months. He finished at P. Woman's Club Holds Meeting The .Clinton Mills Woman's Club held the first fall meeting September 20, 1962 at the Community Building at 7:30 P.M. with a covered dish supper, Mrs. Mattie Bell Ivester presiding.
