Mr. and Mrs. Boh Johnston, Linda and Keith, Mrs. Harold Hopper, Debbie and Roger of Lees Summit, Mr. and Mrs. William Hunter, Geraldine and Donna and Mrs. Clarence Gregory of Chester spent Wednesday with Mrs. Susie Hawks, Beatrice and Ernest Vaughn. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Eldridge celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary June 6. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Alexander had a wedding anniversary May 31. Mr. Alexander said he enjoyed working on their anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Holder and family spent Mother's Day in Greenwood with J. W.'s parents. Mr and Mrs. Joe Holder. Anita Turner was 11 years old June 28. Cathy Lawson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lawson, was 2 years old June 2 and Linda will be 6 years old July 2 Ricky Holder was 7 years old June 28. Cecil has accepted a job with Southern Bleachery in the chemical division for the present. Dianne Davenport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davenport, spent two weeks at home after completing exams at Greenville General Hospital where she is in training as a nurse. Guess What! Frances Bradberrv is a grandmother now! (and just bursting with pride). Little Phillips James Crapps made his appearance May 29 at Self Memorial Hospital weighing 9 lbs. 7 ozs. He is the son of SP 4 and Mrs. Phillip Crapps. Daddy is still in Germany till about the middle of July. Mother is the former Miss Joyce Bradberry. Joyce has been staving with her mother since her return to the States. Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Turner of Ninety Six and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Veal of Georgia were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs George Price. Mrs. Gladys Hughes was called to Walhalla May 18 due to the illness of her father Mr Louis Crapps. We're glad tc report that he is much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Neuffer Creswell and Mr. and Mrs. Jerrv Heaton and children were visitors at Folly Reach on a recenl weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Robbie Roberts and son spent a weekend with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ellison Roberts. Mr. Roberts took his vacation the last week in May. He said he really enjoyed it. Spenl part of the time at his place or Lake Greenwood preparing t( build. Best of luck Ellison! Benny Tucker got a pro motion June 1st. He's now secretary to Mr. Reynolds Good luck to you Benny. THE CLOTHMAKER pledged weaver on the 3rd shift. Miss Patsy Henderson, along with a group of high school students, are enjoying a house party at Pawley's Island. Mrs. Pauline Sease and Mrs. Finncannon are chaperoning the group. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Tucker and children of Greenville spent a recent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fowler. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Harrill were recent visitors at Davtnna Beach, Florida. Dick said they really had a nice trip. Mrs. Missouri Wilkie has been off from work for several weeks. We hope she will soon be well and out again. Mrs. John Cannon, mother of Roy Cannon, is seriously ill at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. We hope for her a speedy recovery. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of the late Mr. R. T. Trammell. The Freeman Lanford family gathered at their home on Florence Street Sunday, June 10, for a family reunion. They also celebrated Ailene's birthday. Dinner was served picnic m v itr. On Mother's Day the family of Mrs. Dora Leopard gathered at her home to enjoy the Leopard Reunion. All of Mrs. Leopard's children and grandchildren (except Lawrence who had the mumps) and even 2 of her great grandchildren were there and they all attended the worship service at Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Leopard was presented a gift by the church for having the ' largest family present. All returned to her home for a bountiful picnic dinner. Bet there ' was fried chicken to go. Guess there wasn't any cake left though because I know Lydia Bell and Sandy ate it all (Ha Ha). Phillips were dinner quests of the Dorsey Turners or a surprise birthday gatherng honoring Richard White and Delia Phillips on their airthdays. Mrs. Sylvia Gerber of Wilmington, Delaware spent several days here with relatives, the Fred Tumblins and her mother, Mrs. W. D. Tumblin, af Gray Court. Rev. and Mrs. Bud Tumblin af Anderson were visitors here for the weekend. Their trip was to attend the Eva Land piano recital of which his neice. Miss Julia Nelson, was :m program. Mrs. Buddy Blackwelder of Wilmington. Delaware came to Clinton for a short visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Davis, and to attend the graduation of her brother, Maxie Davis. Mavis and Chrissie Heaton returned home with her for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. A. B.
