Mr. and Mrs. Mack Forrester and family spent one day in Columbia recently with Mrs. Forrester's sister. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart had as their dinner quests July 4th. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Dyer and son, Ronnie. Randy Stewart from Kings Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Stewart and son, Leonard. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart and sons enjoyed dinner with the Huckaby's Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart and sons spent the week end. July 15 & 16, with relatives in Greensboro, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Abercrombie spent several days in North Carolina with Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Shumate and family visited several days at the Isle ol Palms recently and visited Satlinburg, Tennessee the past week end. WEAVING No. 1 2ND SHIFT By?Lillian Forester Hello Everyone, here we are back from our vacation with lots of news. On June 25th the Second Shift Weaving No. 1, 2, and 3 enjoyed a fish fry at Lake Greenwood. Guests for the event were husbands and wives of the employees. Chefs for the occasion were Lark. Johnson and Rrownlee. Some enjoyed boat rides, some motorcycle rides, but all enjoyed the fun. food and fellowship. H. N. Hughey and B. F. Sinclair donated the fish. Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Birchmore and family visited Mr. Birchmore's mother in Columbia Sunday. Mrs. Birchmore celebrated her 90th birthday June 20. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Campbell visited friends in Fork Shoals a few days last week and also relatives in Union County. Mr. Alvin Armstrong and son visited his parents during his vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. Luther Rhodes and Kenneth and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Patterson and children motored to Nashville, Tennessee and enjoyed being at the Grand Ole Opera in person and also vacationed in the Smokev Mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Perrv Sumeral and Tommv and Barrv and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sumoral vacationed in the mountains of North Carolina and also Clark Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Burdette visited Mr. Burdette's mother in Calhoun Falls Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Webb Taylor and Bonnie and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hughes and Mike and Dorothy Dobbins of Cross Hill vacationed at Hunting Island and also Myrtle Beach during the week.
