They also spent one day at Folly Beach in Charleston. They were accompanied bv Lee McCall to the beach. Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Bagwell and Robbie Armstrong of Miami, Florida are visiting friends and relatives in Clinton, Anderson and Ware Shoals. Mrs. Missouri Wilkie accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sanders visited her mother, Mrs. J. F. Anderson, in Gainesville, Georgia. Dot said the rest of the week was spent enjoying the new boat and motor which they just bought, bet they had fun. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred McNineh and son and Miss Sara Nell McNinch spent their vacation at Ocean Drive Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Owens and son, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Owens and son, Mr. and Mr? .Timmv Rraswpll and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Bratcher vacationed in Davtona Beach, Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Campbell and Mike spent their week at Lake Greenwood. They went to fish but "Shorty" said that the fish had gone on vacation too. Better luck next time "Shorty". A.M.F. Delmar Fern Hardman spent some time recently with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fern Hardman. Delmar, Bea. Fern and grandson, Duran Lowery, visited their son and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hardman, in Mus togue, Oklahoma. iv'r. and Mrs. Rufus Handback and son and George Sease spent the week at Myrtle Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Toby Campbell and son, Terry, and Miss Delcra Lyda visited in Daytona Beach, Florida. Harold Fowler attended the Church of God Camp oir Clinii' II [ senior Music Major of Furman y and CECIL STEELE in sight Meeting in Mauldin during vacation week. Mrs. Gholdie Simmons and Dixie Anne and Nancy Blease spent their vacation visiting their sister and family. Mr. and Mrs. Tan Windsor, in Norfolk, Virginia. Nancy remained for a longer visit while there. Evelyn and Dana celebrated their birthdays with a beach party. She said it was so nice, birthday cake and ice cream. Evelyn said she celebrated her sweet 16 birthday July 4, but she didn't say how many to add to that 16. Freeman Lanford visited in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Aline said that she and the boys stayed home part of the week but they did attend the Church of God Camp Meeting in Mauldin. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Fowler and Pat and Wilmont Shealv, Jr. spent some time at Myrtle Beach. Gertrude said they went plum picking one day. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Leopard and Sandy visited in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. Miss Sandy Leopard is spending 10 days at the State J.H.A. Camp at Ocean Drive Beach. Sandy is a member of the local high school chapter. Mrs. "Bootsie" Allman was among the women that went to New York during vacation week. When she returned they motored down to Folly Beach for the week pnd "-To" rpallv rrnt arming that week. Mr. and Mrs. James Harris and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ithiel Harvey and daughters visited in the Great Smokie Mountains and also in Charleston and Folly Beach. James said they really did have a nice vacation. Mr. J. H. Hughes and Mr. Jimmy Hughes spent some time in Louisville, Kentucky visiting Herbert's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hughes. While there they visited the Southern Baptist Thelogical Seminary of which Jimmy hopes to attend after graduation from Presbyterian College. Good Luck to you in your minis try Jimmy. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dawkins and family of Jacksonville, Florida recently visited Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hughes and family. Mrs. Dawkins will he remembered as Miss Mary Faye Hughes. THE CLOTHMAKER Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hughes and Iris visited Mr. Hughes' mother, Mrs. A. H. Hughes, in Spartanburg. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kinard spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold and girls in Hemingway, S. C. jimmy Kinard and Mr. J. L. Arnold had spent the week with James and family. All of us enjoyed Saturday at Litchfield Beach. Saturday night Oscar, Jimmy, Fate, James and Charles Cribb enjoyed the Modilied Stock Car Races at the Rambi Race Track in Myrtle Beach. Rowe and Mrs. Oscar Kinard attended the opening session of the Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, of South Carolina in Columbia on June 19th. I would like to take this means to say "Thank You" for the lovely flowers I received while a patient at the Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas. Malcum Fowler Cecil says Robert Adams cooked a good chicken stew during vacation week. Neuffer said he and Polly spent vacation week in their new home in the Lakewood developement trying to get straightened up. I can think of no better way, can you? Mr. Cooper has been a patient at Oconee County Hospital for three weeks where he had undergone surgery. A 1C Harold Meadows has completed six weeks of schooling in photography in Denver, Colorado and he and his family, who visited his parents while he was gone, have returned to their home in Springfield, Mass. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gibbs spent vacation week in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. They seem to have a standing appointment (if that's what you call it) for this cabin in Gatlinburg every 4th of July week. Doris said she did something this time that it took her a year to make up her mind about it, she took a helicopter ride (2 in fact) and she said it was the most enjoyable thing she did f? during the week.
