Kathy Davenport is at Camp Buckhorn this week with the Blue Birds and their leaders. Dianne Williams and Dianne Davenport are spending this week in Greenville with the latter's sister and brotherin-law. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shealv. Phillis Shealv of Greenville spent the past week with her irrandnarents. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davenport. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Furr of Lancaster visited Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Mclnvaille Sunday. Mr. S. J. Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Homer Fuller and family spent Sunday in Greenwood with Mr. and Mrs. Wvlie Harper. Melvin Bailey observed a birthday on June 22 and Skeet Bailey observed a birthday June 28. Jimmy Patterson observed a birthday June 20. Betty Lou and James McLendon. Mrs. W. C. Wilkes and Mona and Judy Satter field spent a few days recently in Mount Vernon, Georgia with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Furman Bratcher and Mike visited Mrs. G. W. Culbertson in Greenwood recently. Friends of Martha Motte will be glad to learn she has returned home after a few days stay at Hays Hospital for treatment. Mrs. Grace Coker, Amalee Coker and Mrs. Mason Coleman visited Mason Coleman at the Army Air Base in Columbia recently. Brenda Kav Satterfield will celebrate a birthday July 15. Mrs. Helen Weaver of Laurens visited her sister, Mrs. Frances Meeks, recently. Darlene Vanderford celebrated her 5th birthday June 9. Jack Graham wishes to express his appreciation for the gifts from the Weave Room of Lydia Mills which were given him after a complete loss of their home by fire. Lanford and Johnny, Mrs. Ada Prince, Nettie and Roberta Prince attended the car races in Spartanburg Friday night. SPINNING 1ST SHIFT By Mary Ellison Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Cook and Robert visited Pisgah Mountain a recent Sunday. They also visited Mr. Cook's father, Mr. John Waldrop, at F ~k Shoals. Mr. Wade Pennington is a patient at the Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Mrs. Victoria Fulmer is spending the week with her daughter. Mrs. Narvis Godfrey. Mr. Lonnie Fulmer and wife of Union spent the week end with the Godfreys recently. Mr. a n d Mrs. Clarence Jones and family of Greenville and Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Lark and Joe spent a recent week end at Myrtle Beach. Mr. and Mrs. Quinton Jones and son, Marlon, were in Kingsport, Tennessee f o r their annual homecoming a recent week end. Spnday, June 11, they attended home coming at Betharaba Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Lark spent the week end in Myrtle Beach. Mr. Lark got too much sun. He said his burns were still hurting. He is Mrs. Broome's first grandson. She has four granddaughters. JUNE, 1961 Edward Fuller enjoyed a birthday June 5. As scon as the picture was taken Edward threw a perfect strike at the photographer. Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Sinclair, were week end guests of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bonnie Sinclair, of Simpsonville. Mr. Norris Brown lee wants to thank each and every one on the second shift for the nice way they have received him and for their cooperation.
