We are glad to know that Mrs. Alice Snider is getting along nicely after an operation at I lavs Hospital. We want to wish for Alice a very speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Tucker and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny ' Deaton were shopping in Greenville on Monday. Mrs. F. L. Thornbury has returned home after a few weeks visit with her daughter, Mrs. Elvert Boswell. who lives in Shannon, Georgia. All the Lvdia Campfire Girls enjoyed their trip to the skating ring in Spartanburg on last Friday night. We are glad to know that Mrs. J. 1). Oaklev is on nnd at home again after an operation at Blalock Clinic. Mr. Leroy Davis celebrated his birthday on Easter Sunday. Mr. W. D. Wyatt celebrated a birthday April 18th. Mr. John F. Mr. and Mrs Perry Sumoral visited Mrs. Minnie Dobbins in Cross Anchor last Sunday THE CLOTHMAKER WEAVING NO. 1 & 2 2WD SHIFT By Thelma Stewart It is good to have Roy Patterson back at work after being out a week from injuries he received from a fall from his motorcycle. Mrs. Lewis Abercrombie spent several days in N. C. with Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Garret the other week. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lanford said they wish to thank all the good people here for the gifts which were given them. Also to Mrs. Mary Lee Hughes and Mrs. Janie Sumeral and Barry for their nice visit and the package thev brought. Also all the other visits people made. It meant so much to see people with kind words while we were so very very blue. At present they are living in a two room apartment upstairs over Lamar Lanford funeral home just beside their home which burned. Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart and son. Jimmy a id Johnny, visited Mr. and Mrs. Harrv Stewart and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dyer and Ronnie in Kings Mountain April 9. Mr. and Mrs. B. P. Lark were among the many who visited the ice show in CI men ville. Mr. anci Mrs. Floyd Moore and family visited in Ridgewav and Blythewood during the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Moore made several trips to Augusta. Georgia recently where Mr. Moore's sister was a patient at Eugene Talmadge Memorial Hospital. A 1C Rav H. Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jackson, spent two weeks at home. He is stationed in the airoase in Portland. Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jackson. Ray, their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Harris of Joanna motored to Charleston on the 25th of March. While there they visited the Isle of Palms and the Edisto Gardens in Orangeburg.
