Mrs. Marv Bouknight and Mrs. Ruth Oxner visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oxner of Aiken. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Oaklev attended the funeral of Mr. Oakley's sister. Mrs. Minnie South, of Toccoa, Georgia. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Proffitt celebrated a wedding anniversary October 3. Mrs. James Page had an operation at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. Little Stanly Lawson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lawson, had an eve operation at the E.N.T. Clinic in Charlotte, N. C. Mrs. J. E. Braswell. Jr. spent two weeks in Charleston with Mr. and Mrs. .1 R Scarboro and with her aunt, Mrs. Evia May field. Mr. Walter Shephard and ?Jiss Linda Braswell joined Mrs. J. E. Braswell, Jr. in Charleston and attended the Newberry - Citadel Football game. Glad to report Mrs. Banna Braswell has returned to work after being absent on a sick leave for eight weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Posey Taylor had as their guest Mr. Taylor's mother, Mrs. H. B. Taylor, and his aunt, Mrs. Edward Taylor. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Berry Trammell recently. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Blakely 1 i Earl Turner celebrated his 11th birthday October 13. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Turner, Clinton Mills. visited Mrs. Ursula Blakely on Sunday afternoon recently. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Watson, Mrs. Margaret Barker and Mrs. Ursula Blakely attended the funeral of Mr. J. G. Watson at Yarboroughs Chapel in Enoree recently.
