1ST SHIFT

Vacation time is here and
we would like to remind all of
our readers to drive carefully
wherever you go. We want
you to have a good time and
enjoy yourself, but we too
want you to not to forget
safety is most important of all
during vacation.
Kenneth Madden went to
the beach a few week ends
ago and really had a good
time. He said he was looking
forward to going again the
4th of July. If there is a good
looking blonde interested in
going notify Ken at once.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neal
attended a birthday dinner in
Salem May 29th honoring her
dad on his 69th birthday. May
he have many more.
Annette and Stan Riser of
Anderson spent the week end
with their grandparents. Mr.
and Mrs. Leo Riser and Mrs.

Steve Neal. son of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Neal, was transferred
from Laurens Colonial
Stores to Asheville. N. C.

Well folks if Daisy Cothran

for she has just moved into a
brand new house. We are
very happy for her. and hope
she will always enjoy it as
much as she does now.
A birthday dinner was
given in honor of Mrs. J. J.
Smith by her children on May

brother. Mr. Cecil Polish, and
family of Birmingham. Ala.
for dinner recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer I.awson
are the proud parents of
a 9 pound 11 oz. girl born

Sorry to report Mrs. Homer
Lawson is back in Hays
Hospital.
Mr. J. C. Coker is also a
patient at Hays Hospital.

anniversary June 4th.

Hoo-Rah! It's almost herd
Vacation week that is. and I
think everyone is really looking
forward to it. Our sincere
"thanks" to the management
who makes this vacation with
pay possible. Hope everyone
has a safe and happy week of

Mrs. Nathan Cannon and Janice

are members of Calvary Baptist

Well, nobody seems to be
talking much, so we didn't
get too much news. Maybe
after vacation they'll loosen
up and tell us something.
