Blakely's mother was 86 years old and the occasion was in her honor. Mrs. Ursula Blakelv was also remembered on this day. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Mrs. Bobbie Whitman and family were off to Atlanta, Ga. for a short stay with her sister during the past month. Helen Butler was a recent visitor of her sister, Mrs. Pierce, of Kinston, N. C. Mrs. Pierce is seriously ill with cancer and our sympathy goes out to Helen and all her familv. k \J Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Proffitt were in West Virginia for a visit with Mr. Profitt's parents during the holidays. Our deepest sympathy to Mrs. Beatrice Richardson who lost her Mother, Mrs. Marv Lou Blanchard, recently and that was followed a few days ! by the loss of her sister and niece in the tragic, four death wreck near Gaffnev. I Congratulations are the orders for our newly weds Mr. i and Mrs. Grover Harris. May the following years bring happiness to their life. Harold Kent Lowerv, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lowerv, was two years old April 29. All you fishing friends better haul out all the rods and reels and other fishing gear. The weather is perfect and from all reports the fishing is good. At this writing Gene Butler is on ton of the fishim* t n club in the Bass department with a (i lb. 5 oz. entry.
